Have I mentioned how much I love Fall? I just can’t say it enough, this is my absolute favorite time of the year and a time when I feel my creativity is at its best.

I make it a point to visit my local farmer’s stand as soon as weather starts to cool and pick up a gallon of apple cider. There’s something about apple cider that is a Fall tradition and if I didn’t have a glass or two it just wouldn’t feel like Fall to me.  While sipping on a glass of cider I had the idea to make a batch of Hard Apple Cider Sangria. I had friends coming over and had an abundance of white wine (which is not my favorite) and thought the apple cider and white wine combination would be perfect for Apple Cider Sangria.

The basis of any good sangria begins with a combination of fruit which is mixed with the liquids and adds a fresh flavor to the sangria (plus it’s healthy). For this Hard Apple Cider Sangria I used a combination of grapes, apples and pears and placed them in the bottom of a large pitcher.

I then add apple cider, white wine, a bottle of hard cider and applejack for a quick and easy Hard Apple Cider Sangria. After all the ingredients have been added I mix it up and serve the sangria over ice.

Hard Apple Cider Sangria

The perfect Fall-inspired Sangria using fresh apple cider.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 cups of fresh chopped fruit apples, pears, grapes, etc.
  • 3 cups fresh apple cider
  • 2 cups white wine chardonnay, pinot grigio
  • 1 bottle of hard apple cider I used Angry Orchard
  • 1/2 cup Applejack or Apple Brandy

Instructions

  • Add chopped fruit to a large pitcher. Add fresh apple cider, white wine, hard apple cider and Applejack. Stir to combine. Serve over ice.
I get so many compliments on this Hard Apple Cider Sangria. It is tasty and delicious and definitely makes you feel happy – if you know what I mean. Plus, it is the perfect way to use white wine for this non-white-wine drinker.
