Today’s post is in partnership with Heluva Good!® Block Cheese. I used Heluva Good cheese for this delicious Cheesy Jersey Tomato Bacon Flatbread with celebrates my beloved Jersey tomato to create the perfect Summer appetizer.
If there is one thing to know about me it is that I am a Jersey girl. I proudly declare my love for the Garden State and one of the things I am fanatic about is the Jersey tomato. Right now Jersey tomatoes are at their peak and can be found in grocery stores, local farmer’s stands and even in backyard gardens. These beauties were grown in my Dad’s garden and they are some of the most juicy and delicious tomatoes. Once you have a Jersey tomato I promise you will never want to eat a regular tomato again. We are spoiled here in the Garden State, for sure.
I was inspired by my beloved Jersey tomato to use them as part of the inspiration for this Cheesy Jersey Tomato Bacon Flatbread recipe. It’s one of those perfect Summer dishes because it is simple to prepare, takes minutes to cook and you can eat it with your hands. Basically, it is a total Summer recipe winner!
To begin, I washed three Jersey tomatoes and sliced them thin.
I then picked up some Heluva Good!® Block Cheese in the sharp cheddar cheese variety for this recipe (and grabbed an extra block for nibbling later) and sliced it for the recipe. Before placing the cheese on the flatbread I spread the bread with garlic butter. I then lined the flatbread with the sliced cheese.
The next step is to top the cheese with slices of Jersey tomato and chopped, cooked bacon.
To finish, I placed the flatbread in a 350 degree oven and allowed the Heluva Good cheese to melt and the tomato and bacon to cook.

Cheesy Jersey Tomato Bacon Flatbread
- 3 Jersey Tomatoes
- 5-6 pieces of cooked bacon chopped
- 1 block Heluva Good! cheese cheddar variety
- 1 large flatbread crust
- 2 tablespoons garlic butter
- parsley for garnish (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash tomatoes and slice thin. Chop bacon, set aside. Spread garlic butter on flatbread. Slice Heluva Good! cheese and place on flatbread. Top cheese with sliced tomatoes and chopped bacon. Place in oven to melt cheese and cook tomatoes. Top with chopped parsley, slice into pieces and serve warm.
