This post is in collaboration with MSC Cruises. This post offers an overview and full guide to the MSC Seascape.
On December7, 2022 I had the opportunity to attend the Naming Celebration for MSC Seascape. MSC Cruises welcomed MSC Seascape to its fleet of innovative and glamourous ships. The ship’s naming ceremony took place at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal in New York City. New York will become the line’s newest U.S. homeport in April 2023.
Introducing MSC Seascape
MSC Seascape offers guests a memorable cruise experience with beautiful venues and locations to discover new horizons at sea. The ship features 2,270 cabins with 12 different types of staterooms and suites; 11 dining venues and 19 bars and lounges; six swimming pools; an expansive waterfront promenade; a spectacular Bridge of Sighs on deck 16 with a breath-taking view of the ocean; and one of the most luxurious Yacht Clubs in the entire fleet.
Let’s Chill!
While on board the MSC Seascape, I stayed in a balcony suite. The balcony suite featured a sitting area with sofa, shower bathroom, double bed, TV, telephone, Wi-fi connection and glass balcony.
Let’s Eat!
The ship has plenty of places to grab a delicious bite including eleven eateries – three main restaurants, and a 1,169 seater buffet. There are also five specialty restaurants including the Butcher’s Cut, Ocean Cay fish restaurant, HOLA! Tacos & Cantina and Kaito Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar. There is also a dedicated Aurea restaurant and the Yacht Club restaurant.
Let’s Drink!
There are 20 themed bars for all occasions with plenty of outdoor venues to relax and enjoy the sea views. The ship’s atrium is a great place to grab a drink. There is also a Sky bar with a stunning view of the bridge of sighs, sports bar and a chamagne bar.
Let’s Make a Splash!
There are plenty of spaces to make a splash on MSC Seascape including the Marina Pool, which is located on Deck 18. The Marina Pool has two different depths for swimming or hanging out, a 360-degree water fountain island and a lounge space within the pool. The area is also connected to an aquapark.
Other areas for water fun include the indoor Jungle Pool and the MSC Aurea Spa.
Let’s Entertain You!
A standout feature of MSC Cruises is the high-quality entertainment. Guests sailing on MSC Seascape will enjoy 98 hours of live entertainment per cruise. Some of the entertainment experiences offered on the MSC Seascape include traditional grand-scale theatre productions, immersive performances in the aft lounge, interactive family entertainment, and lively entertainment around the ship provided by the talented MSC staff.
Let’s Shop! Let’s Play!
Other options onboard include dancing venues, a signature casino, a luxury boutique shopping experience, teen and junior kids clubs, and a colorful kids play areas created in partnership with Chicco®.
New to MSC Cruises is the ROBOTRON. It is a state-of-the-art robotic arm with an attached gondola that seats three guests and swirls 53 metres above sea offering a 360° view. If you are looking for even more fun, check out the Immersive XD Cinema, VR 360° Flight Simulator, VR motorbikes and the Formula Racer virtual simulator.
But Wait, There’s More!
MSC Seascape offers so much more. In addition to the many amenities already mentioned on board the ship, there is also the Yacht Club, MSC Aurea Spa, a beauty salon, barber shop and nail salon. Literally something for everyone! Some of the other standout features from my experience onboard include:
- MSC Cruises’ commitment to sustainability.
- MSC Seascape has the latest environmental technologies including a wastewater treatment systems with purification standards higher than most wastewater treatments facilities on land and selective catalytic reduction systems to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 90 percent by converting the gas into harmless nitrogen and water.
MSC Seascape will sail to the Caribbean and the Bahamas for her inaugural season. The new flagship for the U.S will offer two contrasting itineraries:
- Eastern Caribbean: Calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve and Nassau in The Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic
- Western Caribbean: Calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Cozumel in Mexico, George Town in the Cayman Islands, and Ocho Rios in Jamaica
