Today is my 14th wedding anniversary. This time 14 years ago I was on a beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico getting ready to marry my prince charming.
Since our anniversary falls on a Tuesday we decided to celebrate a little early with a special dinner and dessert on Sunday. For dessert, I surprised my love with a Chocolate Raspberry Stout Fondue with DuClaw Naked Fish. To me, fondue is such a romantic dessert and the perfect way to celebrate your anniversary, Valentine’s Day or any day for that matter.
To begin, I warmed some heavy cream and 1/2 cup of Naked Fish in a pot over medium heat.
I then added a combination of milk chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate and cooked until the sauce thickened.
To serve the Chocolate Raspberry Stout Fondue I offered a variety of dippers including fresh strawberries, raspberries, bananas and fresh-baked brownies. You could also offer graham crackers, marshmallows, rice krispy treats, pound cake and fresh apple slices.
The combination of the chocolates, cream and Naked Fish stout makes the fondue a rich, chocolate color that is full of flavor.
