Change up your Sunday brunch with this delicious Mamma Chia Mimosa.
The fine folks at Mamma Chia sent me a bunch of their products to try – I already LOVE their pouches, chia seeds and granola so I welcomed their delivery with open (and excited arms).
If you are not a fan of Mamma Chia (yet) or chia seeds, you need to get with it. Chia seeds are my secret weapon. Chia seeds have 8 times more omega-3s than salmon; 70 percent more protein than soy beans; 25 percent more fiber than flaxseed; 6 times more calcium than milk and 30 percent more antioxidants than blueberries. They are a total nutrition slam dunk and I try to incorporate them into as many recipes and meals as possible. Mamma Chia products make it super easy to also keep up with my chia intake. The pouches are always a reach away at work and at home.
Also included in Mamma Chia’s surprise pack were several bottles of their chia vitality beverages. I particularly enjoy the beverages in the morning, or after a workout, and thought they would be a great addition to my Sunday brunch. I’m sure it won’t come as much of a surprise to you but I am a fan of the bubbles, champs, prosecco or sparkling wine. I take the opportunity whenever I can to partake in a sip of the bubbly so why not combine the bubbles with some Mamma Chia. It was a light bulb moment, how genius? A Mamma Chia Mimosa.
To begin, I poured about 1 ounce of the Mamma Chia Vitality Beverage in the bottom of a champagne flute. I used the Chia Energy Raspberry Razz but any flavor would work.
I then topped the chia beverage with cold prosecco.
- 1 bottle chilled prosecco
- 1 bottle Mamma Chia Vitality Beverage, chilled
- Fill champagne glasses with 1 ounce of Mamma Chia Vitality Beverage. Top with Prosecco filling the glass. Serve.
