Sharing the latest cocktail from my cocktail column in Ocean City Magazine, a Frozen Watermelon Daiquiri.

July is the peak of summer. Here in Ocean City, the weather is the best of the season with hot days and warm nights. Watermelon is at its highest availability and the best it is going to get.

In May, I announced my new cocktail column in Ocean City Magazine, “Cheers with Linda Arceo.” For the June issue I decided to make a Pineapple Bourbon Sour. I chose this recipe for the June issue because it incorporates some of my favorite flavors and uses a liquor that is often ignored in cocktails. I always try to feature a new liquor in each creation. In May I used vodka and in June I used bourbon. For July I chose to use rum as my liquor.

Frozen Watermelon Daiquiri

For the Frozen Watermelon Daiquiri, you will need frozen watermelon, fresh lime and oranges and rum.

I just love this picture and how the frozen watermelon combines with the citrus and rum for a thick, slushy consistency.

For the full recipe pick Ocean City Magazine or find it online HERE. You can find my column on page 18.

Let me know if you give this cocktail a try! You can message me on Facebook or Instagram. Links to all of my social sites are included below.

Cheers!
