Have you started your Memorial Day celebrations yet? I just came back from the grocery store and it was a mad house. I so deserved a drink so I whipped up with Alizé Peach Cocktail, the Peach Fuzz Slush. It was a super hot 90 degrees today and as much as the warm weather was welcomed, I was definitely hot and sweaty from running around all day and needed something cool and refreshing.
I was inspired by the old classic, the Fuzzy Navel, which combines orange juice with peach schnapps and decided to use that drink as the base for my Peach Fuzz Slush and build on the flavors and ideas from there. This drink is so simple to make.
All you need is Alizé Peach, orange juice, simple syrup, grenadine and maraschino cherries. I literally threw all of the ingredients in the blender and within minutes, yes, minutes, I had a luscious, refreshing cocktail that was not only delicious, but impressive. I even threw in one of those little paper umbrellas to make it even more inviting and get me in the spirit of Summer.
How to Make the Alizé Peach Cocktail
Alizé Peach Cocktail | The Peach Fuzz Slush
Ingredients
- 2-3 cups of ice add more ice to make it thicker
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 ounces Alizé Peach
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup
- grenadine
- maraschino cherries
- peach slices
Instructions
- Place ice to blender. Add orange juice, Alizé Peach and simple syrup. Blend until frothy and resembles a slush-like consistency. Pour into martini glasses. Float 1 teaspoon of grenadine in the middle and top with a maraschino cherry and peach slices. Serve immediately.
