Before I dive into this post raving about these cookies I want to say something upfront. I am not a medical professional. I am not a lactation specialist and I know there are many other ways to increase breast milk production. OK. Now that we are clear on a few things, I want to talk to you about these amazing Supply Boosting Lactation Cookies.

Supply Boosting Lactation Cookies

These cookies are not a magic wand in itself. You have to maintain a healthy diet and drink plenty of water to maintain your supply. However, these Supply Boosting Lactation Cookies have several ingredients known to help increase breast milk production. Namely, the brewers yeast and the oatmeal. Brewer’s yeast is an ingredient used in the production of beer and bread. It is so good for you.

In addition to the brewer’s yeast and oatmeal, this recipe also includes butter (one with flaxseed it in is even better), flaxseed meal, whole wheat flour and chocolate chips – plus the cookie staples of sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and baking soda.

Once all of the ingredients are combined, I scoop them onto a baking sheet and bake them for about 12-15 minutes.

The result is a delicious nutrition-packed cookie filled with lots of ingredients to support breastfeeding mothers. The flaxseed and the omega eggs , plus the oatmeal make these the perfect superfood cookie. The best thing is, even if you are not breastfeeding you can enjoy these cookies. My kids love them.

Wouldn’t this be a great gift for the breastfeeding mommy in your life? I like to bring a batch, along with some mother’s milk tea, when I visit a new mom and baby for the first time. They are so appreciated every time I bring them – and then I get requests to make another batch :-).

If you are breastfeeding, make these cookies today. You will not regret it.
