After an amazing foodie-filled weekend I thought I’d share with you my favorite moments from the New York City Wine and Food Fest 2014 and recap them here.
Friday began with a beautiful Fall drive to New York City with my good friend, Jen. The first thing we did when we got into the city was check-into our hotel and grab some sushi and a cocktail. We then walked around the city for a while before returning back to the hotel to get ready for the Burger Bash.
This year’s Burger Bash was once again held on the rooftop of Pier 92. There were tents and tents of burger stations, plenty of burgers, beer and wine and lots of other yummy treats. I definitely ate my fair share of burgers! Josh Capon, executive chef of NYC’s Burger and Barrel, won people’s choice for the fifth time in six years.

The highlight of my weekend was meeting Paula Deen, who was at the event promoting her new network, The Paula Deen Network. Paula looked fantastic and the crowd was thrilled to see her.
Hands down this is by far one of my most favorite food events. You never know who you are going to run into or what you are going to try and for this city-loving girl, there’s nothing better than a weekend in New York City.Special thanks to ShopRite for inviting me to participate in the New York City Wine and Food Fest 2014. I can’t wait for next year!
