I enjoyed a week with the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab thanks for a vehicle loan from Toyota. As always, opinions are my own. #DriveToyota, #LetsGoPlaces, and #Tacoma
I hit the road in the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab to explore the New Jersey Wineries. These NJ wineries stretch across the southern part of the state. Here, I share a few of my all-time favorites.
Have you heard about the New Napa? New Jersey, known as the Garden State, has a strong reputation for its production of fruit-based wines (apple, blueberry, cranberry and raspberry). Now, NJ is gaining attention for its grape wines. New Jersey’s vast wineries have advanced significantly in their blending, achieving notoriety, both nationally and internationally for their many acclaimed wines. The East Coast is gaining a reputation as a new, more affordable alternative to Napa. I just so happen to live within driving distance of over 50 Jersey wineries. Woohoo!
Some of my favorite New Jersey Wineries include:
Renault Winery – Renault is one of the oldest operating wineries in the United States and produces both red and white varieties. If you go, try their Blueberry Champagne, it’s what they are famous for.
Cape May Winery – This winery is one of the premier tourist attractions in the Cape May area. The winery features four vineyards on 70 acres that grow 16 varieties of grape and is charmingly located in this quaint beach town.
Hawk Haven Vineyard – The winery is named for the large number of hawks that migrate to the farm every year to Rio Grande, New Jersey. In addition to a cozy tasting room, you can sip on wines on their back patio while listening to live music. Hawk Haven is completely family friendly with a cute sandbox area for kids to play in the back. You can also bring snacks to enjoy while sipping on your wines.
William Heritage Winery – This vineyard and winery is located in Mullica Hill and is a wonderful wine tasting destination. From live music to pick-your-own orchards and vineyards, Heritage has something for everyone. I picked up a few bottles from William Heritage Winery in the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab and enjoyed them at home during Super Bowl weekend (Go Birds! My beloved Philadelphia Eagles won.)
Plagido’s Winery – The tasting room at Plagido’s is not as modern as some of the others but it has a wonderful charm and coziness. The Hammonton area, where Plagido’s Winery is located, also has several other wineries nearby, making it easy to hop from one winery to the next.
Sharrott Winery – This winery is run on 100 percent solar power making it one of the most environmentally sustainable wineries in New Jersey. Sharrott Winery is picturesque, especially in the Fall.
About the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab
The Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab is a sporty and versatile pickup truck that is made for everyday use in the suburbs but can quickly transition to an off-road vehicle useful for hitting trails or putting it to work. My model was from 2017 and had an MSRP of $42,760.
Some of my favorite features:
- Vehicle handling
- Heated Seats
- Multi-media Entertainment System
- Full-Size back seat allowing for space for 5
- Shorter five-foot cargo bed
- Roomy cabin
- Back-up camera and extra safety features
- Touch screen features
The Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Double Cab was a great truck to drive. I reminded me very much of my first vehicle which just so happened to be a small pick-up truck (yes, believe it or not). It was the perfect vehicle for a road trip.
Whether you have an affinity for red, rosé, white, sparkling or dessert, the New Jersey wineries have something for everyone.
(Please note: I drank my wines at home and I did not drive after enjoying a glass. As always, please do not drink or drive).
Cheers!
