It’s the weekend of back-to-back food events. After spending my Friday and Saturday in New York City I will be hitting the road and make my way to the TASTE Philadelphia Festival of Food Wine and Spirits on Sunday, October 19th.
TASTE Philadelphia is a three-day food and drink event starting on Friday, October 17, 2014 and ending on Sunday, October 19th. TASTE features popular chefs such as Rocco Dispirito, Nicholas Elmi (Bravo’s Top Chef Winner, 2014) and Nicole Gaffney (2014 Next Food Network Star Finalist).
I am excited to see that my local foodie friend and Philadelphia’s own cheese steak King, Tony Luke Jr., will be doing a live demonstration on Sunday at 2:45 pm. Tony is one of the featured chefs for this year’s event. It’s been a big year for Tony. He launched his new television show, Frankenfood, and his single “Right Here” was released in August 2014 on Philerzy Productions.
If you plan on hitting up TASTE on either Friday or Saturday, keep an eye out for my fellow blogger and friend, Roberta Pipito of Homemade Delish. Roberta will be doing both on-stage demonstrations and giving away goodies and selling her cookbook at a booth. Roberta will be at TASTE on Friday between 4 pm – 8 pm and Saturday 11 am – 3 pm. Here’s me and my buddy Roberta from a while back at the restaurant launch for FlatIron Philly.
Other events from TASTE which you can look forward to include celebrity bottle signings, seminars and private tastings.
