Sausage Stuffed Jalapeños

A delicious appetizer featuring Borden® Cheese

Ingredients

  • 10 jalapeno peppers sliced lengthwise
  • 1 whole onion chopped
  • 2-3 garlic cloves chopped
  • Crumbled sausage
  • 1/4 cup jarred salsa
  • Borden® Cheese Finely Shredded Four Cheese Mexican Shreds

Instructions

  • Cook onions and garlic in a pan over medium heat until translucent. Slice jalapeño peppers lengthwise. Add crumbled sausage to pan with onions and garlic, and cook until done. Line oven-safe baking dish with sliced jalapeños. Fill jalapeños with crumbled, cooked sausage. Top with 1/2 teaspoon of salsa per pepper and with Borden® Cheese Finely Shredded Four Cheese Mexican Shreds. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted. Serve with guacamole to dip.
