Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce

A delicious homemade cranberry sauce

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag of fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 3 ounces white wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • juice of 1 fresh orange
  • zest from 1/4 fresh lemon
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Add chopped apricots and raisins to pot over medium heat on your stove.
  • Add white wine and allow apricots and raisins to rehydrate in white wine until reduced.
  • Add cloves, brown sugar, white sugar, honey, fresh orange juice, and cranberries. Toss to coat.
  • Add lemon zest and water and cover to boil stirring occasionally.
  • Once cranberries have come to a boil, simmer covered until water is reduced, cranberries are soft and apricots and raisins are hydrated.
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator until ready to use.
