I attended the Philadelphia Magazine Design Home thanks to an invitation from Xfinity. This is a sponsored post in partnership with Comcast.

Philadelphia Magazine Design Home

I had the chance to tour the Philadelphia Magazine Design Home, and this visit was thanks to a generous invitation from Xfinity

Tour. Admire. Leave Inspired

This year’s Philadelphia Magazine Design Home is a 2.9 acre property in Villanova, Pennsylvania featuring 7,300 square feet of living space spread across six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, a dream his and her closet, a gift-wrapping nook, entertainment room and even a basketball court!

The inspiration for the 2019 design home is modern farmhouse revival designed by a team of architects and designers – while the Xfinity team outfitted the home with their latest products and services.

Connected with Xfinity

Part of the Philadelphia Magazine Design Home experience included a hands-on tour with the Xfinity team highlighting the many ways Xfinity can be incorporated into your everyday living and make your house the smartest on the block.

Some of my favorite Xfinity features from this year’s Philadelphia Magazine Design Home include:

Xfinity X1

What better way to access your entertainment than in one place? Each television in the Design Home was equipped with Xfinity X1 allowing for easy access to live TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, music, apps and the Internet all from your remote. Other key features include the Xfinity Voice Remote, making navigating all of this content so easy; personalized recommendations; Free Xfinity Stream app to take your entertainment anywhere; Kids Zone and parental controls.

Xfinity xFi

Let’s be honest, is there anything worse than a nice house with bad WiFi? Xfinity xFi provides  the speed, coverage and control you need over your digital life in a personalized WiFi experience. I love how you can easily find and modify your WiFi name and password right from your television or xFi app; see all connected devices and give nicknames for easy reference; set parental controls, rules and schedules to pause devices for dinnertime, manage after-hours device usage and set safe browsing mode for any family member on the home WiFi network. Plus, add-ons are available including xFi Pods (for whole-home WiFi coverage) and xFi Advanced Security to protect your wireless devices from online threats (Later, hackers!).

Xfinity Home

Whether you live in 7,300 square feet like the Design Home (or 500 square feet), you want to keep your home safe! Xfinity Home is Comcast’s total home security and automation solution with 24/7 professional security monitoring. With Xfinity Home you can expect at home or on-the-go access to your home security system with bonus features like Live video monitoring; Real-time text and email alerts; Battery and cellular back-up; Thermostat control and; Remote control of your door locks, garage door, lights and more with “Works with Xfinity” smart devices.

Xfinity Apps

Can you believe there’s even more Xfinity features to share? Some of the apps I got to see in action include: Xfinity Stream, which allows you to stream your entire channel lineup in any room, on any device  – plus the ability to download shows in advance to watch on-the-go (even offline) and; Xfinity MyAccount to manage your account, check for service outages and troubleshoot Xfinity equipment. For a full list of free Xfinity apps, go to xfinity.com/apps.

Thank you Xfinity!

Special thanks to Xfinity for inviting me to this year’s Philadelphia Design Home. I had fun getting dressed up, mingling with my fellow Xfinity Moms and living the glam life in Villanova.

I think I’d make a good cast member on the Real Housewives of Philadelphia, don’t ya think? Call me, Bravo. I’m available.
