Today marks the digital release of the film, Paddington. From the beloved novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman, Paddington tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear who travels to the city in search of a home. We watch a lot of family movies and I have to say, Paddington had me laughing out loud, plus Nicole Kidman puts on a pretty awesome performance.
To celebrate, I am sharing a Paddington-inspired appetizer that moms can serve at a Paddington Movie Night Party, Orange Marmalade and Ricotta Bruschetta. If there was anything that Paddington loves, it is marmalade. I like this recipe for a Paddington Movie Night Party because it is similar to Paddington’s beloved marmalade sandwiches but with a sophisticated flair.
The Orange Marmalade and Ricotta Bruschetta is simple to prepare and ready in minutes. To begin, I sliced a baguette into thin slices and grilled them on a griddle. I then topped the grilled bread with one teaspoon of ricotta. I then topped the ricotta layer with warmed orange marmalade topped with finely chopped mint.
The result is an elegantly simple appetizer perfect for munching on during the movie. This is not your average kid-friendly movie food (although my boys liked it); this is for the moms and dads to enjoy while watching the Paddington movie.
In addition to “beary delicious” treats, no movie night is complete without fun games and activities. You can make your movie night special with a FREE printable Paddington Movie Night party kit so you can host a stellar family movie night. The free printable party kit is available at , along with other activities, crafts, and ideas.
This Orange Marmalade and Ricotta Bruschetta would also be perfect for a Sunday brunch, a dinner party appetizer or even a light Springtime dinner when paired with a light salad. They are so tasty and more importantly, Paddington approved.
