PrintTonight, join me and Old York Cellars for an online wine tasting.  Participants and those following along can interact live with fellow wine lovers (like me) and acclaimed wine maker Scott Gares.

Old York Cellars

Tonight we will sampling the 2011 Chardonnay and the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon wines from Old York Cellars. I will be participating in the online wine tasting from my home, sampling the wines and pairing them with chocolate from Laurie’s chocolates.

In addition to the fabulous wines, another reason why I agreed to participate in the online wine tasting is because Old York Cellars is supporting my beloved State of New Jersey.  From New Jersey, for New Jersey and in support of New Jersey! For every participant of the #VirtualVines tasting, Old York Cellars will donate $1 for each bottle sold to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, Inc.

Old York Cellars, located in Ringoes, New Jersey is one of the states oldest vineyards and is now one of the state’s newest wineries.  Old York has 12 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces an estimated 3,600 cases of wine per year.  Old York Cellars’ wines, which include malbecs, syrahs, and chardonnays.  Old York also makes fruit wines from blackberries and peaches. The winery itself offers art classes, has a small gallery featuring the works of local artists and has a schedule filled with various events and live music performances.
