Are you loving the big bracket shake up during this year’s March Madness? My husband loves college basketball and has been astonished by some of the big NCAA upsets. So when I was challenged to host a March Madness viewing party at home with BJs Wholesale Club I jumped at the opportunity to browse the store and see how I could transform my home into the ultimate sports bar serving up pub-style food perfect for a March Madness viewing party.
For our March Madness viewing party I decided to start with a few munchies and then serve up make-your-own sausage and pepper sandwiches, french fries and nice, cool glasses of cold lemonade.
To begin, I scattered bowls of Wellsley Farms Tavern Blend around the house for people to nibble on while I prepped the rest of the meal. Warning … so addicting!
While shopping at my local BJs Wholesale Club I happened to catch a live demonstration of Paulina’s Pierogies. After sampling the pierogies in-store I knew I wanted to bring them home for my March Madness viewing party. I chose the potato, cheddar and jalapeno flavor. I pan-fried them and served them with a side of sour cream for dipping.
To prep the make-your-own sausage and pepper sandwiches I started with the Berkley and Jensen’s Frozen Peppers and Onions which I sautéed in a pan with a little olive oil and salt. I loved these bags of peppers and onions because they were already cut and prepped and portioned out into three large bags which could be placed in the freezer for future use.
I then chose Johnsonville Mild Sausage which I poached in a mixture of beer and water before finishing on the grill.
Once the peppers, onions and sausages were finished I warmed some rolls on the grill and placed the sausages in the rolls and served on a large tray.
To accompany the sandwiches I chose Alexia’s Organic Yukon Select Fries with sea salt and glasses of Earth’s Pride Organic Lemonade. The organic selection at BJ’s Wholesale Club was vast and impressive with a wide range of options for me and my family.
I served the food buffet style with bowls of marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese and the pepper-onion blend so my guests could assemble their own sandwiches based on their liking and taste preferences.
I chose to top my sandwich with sauce, pepper-onion blend and a generous amount of cheese. Perfect pub-style food at home. Does it get any better than this?
It was so simple to host a March Madness Viewing Party at Home with BJs Wholesale Club. There were tons of options for every taste and mood. My guests thought I worked so hard on my viewing party but really BJs Wholesale Club did all of the work.
