Boozy Peeps Milkshake

Do you have a love-hate relationship with Peeps®? I have a coworker who absolutely loves Peeps and has made me learn to appreciate the sugary, marshmallow wonder (heck, I even tried a Peeps Oreo and loved it!). I’ve not always been the biggest Peeps® fan (it’s a texture issue for me) but I certainly enjoy the flavor. I’ve been inspired by Peeps® before with my Peeptini recipe and today I’m taking that inspiration up a notch with this Boozy Peeps Milkshake

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It’s right up there with Halloween for me. There’s something about its simplicity and how it’s not attached to the hustle and bustle of the busier holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. I love the message behind Easter, how it accompanies the beginning of Spring, the family moments of dyeing eggs and going on egg hunts and of course, the sweets that surround Easter aren’t too bad either.

Today, I’m joining forces with ten other bloggers to share with you some of our favorite Easter recipes but before we tackle the rest of those recipes, let’s kick things off with my Boozy Peeps Milkshake.

The Boozy Peeps Milkshake is pretty easy to make – all you need are a wide assortment of ingredients and plenty of booze. For this recipe I used Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur, Lemon vodka and Rum Chata which is combined with vanilla ice cream and few extra toppings.

To begin, I scooped large amounts of vanilla ice cream into the blender. I then added the three liquors, marshmallow fluff and a chopped peep.

I blended the mixture together until smooth. While the mixture was blending, I prepared my glasses but spreading the lip of the glass with additional marshmallow creme and then rolled it in yellow sugar.

I then filled the prepared glasses with the Boozy Peeps Milkshake and decorated with whipped cream, Easter sprinkles and peeps. The result is this super delicious, spirited shake that is almost too cute to drink. Notice I said almost.

I’m not sure what’s better, the milkshake itself or the fun toppings.
