Recapping our end of the year adventures with the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC thanks to Mitsubishi and DriveSTI.

Did you hear that? That was me breathing a huge sigh of relief as I enter 2016. I have anticipated the bidding of farewell to 2015 with great excitement as I remembered all of the amazing (but busy) adventures that the year brought.  We had many fun moments on the blog, some really great recipes, launched a new weekly series and had the vacation of a lifetime

We finished the year by squeezing in as many holiday-based activities as possible. The GGG boys and I enjoyed a night at the theater, right before Christmas, to see Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It was such a great way to get into the true holiday spirit. I know my time with the boys enjoying things like this, and believing in Santa, is coming to an end so I savored the night and appreciated their excitement.

We also ventured to the mall for a few late-night last minute shopping trips, as well as catching a performance of the Nutcracker. I knew it was going to be an interesting show experience when they turned to me five minutes into the show and said, “They don’t talk in this show?”

The GGG boys were ready for The Nutcracker!

After the holidays passed we spent the last few days of 2015 gathering together with family and friends and playing with our new toys and gadgets. It was the perfect ending to what was a very exciting year.

Our year-end adventures were complemented and accompanied by the 2015 Outlander Sport SE AWC.

Mitsubishi and Drive STI were kind enough to lend me their vehicle for almost two weeks to enjoy during the holidays. What a fun car to go out and about in. Not only was it spacious, with very generous trunk space, but it had all of the internal gadgets and features I enjoy and expect from a car.

The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC came with:

  • 2.0L MIVEC DOHC 16-valve, 4-cyclinder engine
  • Electric power steering
  • MacPherson strut front suspension with stabilizer bar
  • Multi-link suspension rear with stabilizer bar
  • All-Wheel Control (AWC)
  • Sportronic Steering wheel paddle shifters

Some of the exterior features that we liked included the super-wide high intensity discharge headlights, auto on/off headlights, fog lights with LED running lights, and the 18-inch alloy wheels.

The interior features that stood out to me included the:

  • Color LCD multi-information display
  • Drive-mode selector
  • 5 Passenger Seating
  • Heated driver and passenger seats
  • Touch panel display audio system
  • 12-volt accessory outlets
  • Rear cargo compartment

With an MSRP of $29, 945 for the one I drove, I think the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE AWC is an ideal crossover vehicle for those looking to rev up their adventure.
