Line an 9 x 12 -inch baking dish with parchment paper (not wax paper) leaving a 2-inch overhang. In a medium bowl, mix together margarine, sugar and pretzels. Press the mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake for 10 minutes.
GRANOLA BAR
Allow pretzel crust to cool and spread 1/2 cup of peanut butter on top of crust. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, toss together oats and cereal, set aside. In a separate microwave safe mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey, brown sugar and salt. Heat mixture in microwave for 1 minute, remove from microwave and stir. Pour peanut butter mixture over oat mixture, add peanut butter chips and toss well to evenly coat. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish over pretzel crust. Firmly press mixture into an even layer. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator 30 minutes. Lift bars from dish using parchment paper overhang and cut into bars. See notes for storage.
Notes
Cut bars into individual sized servings and wrap in wax paper. Store wrapped bars in ziploc storage bags. Store bag in refrigerator. Individually wrapped bars make for a great grab and go snack.
