This post takes you on an inside look at Tokyo’s Hidden Gem: Tokyo Philly Philadelphia Eagles Bar in Japan.
My recent trip to Japan had a lot of must-dos, and one of them was visiting the Philly-themed sports bar in Japan, Nihonbashi Philly (aka Tokyo Philly). Nihonbashi Philly, often called the only Philadelphia Eagles bar in Tokyo, is a small, lively spot near Tokyo Station that recreates the feel of an actual Philly neighborhood bar.
My Visit to Tokyo Philly
Tokyo Philly passed the vibe check. The bar is a cozy 12-seat space that is truly a hub for expats, locals, and traveling Eagles fans.
The space features Philadelphia memorabilia from all sports teams, including the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, Flyers, and the Union. There were also fun tokens from the Philadelphia region, including Wawa, Universities and iconic Philadelphia districts.

The menu also includes wings, ribs, and other comfort foods, plus craft beer and even Eagles-branded spirits. Luckily, I scored one of their cheesesteaks before they sold out, and it was seriously one of the best I have had, and that’s saying a lot as a local Philly girl.
The owners, Kosuke and Tomomi Chujo, are Philly enthusiasts who studied cheesesteak shops in Philadelphia to perfect their own version. I had the chance to hang out with the owner of Nihonbashi Philly, Kosuke. I brought gifts from the USA for Kosuke, including Philly swag and adding to his bobblehead collection by gifting him the Flyin’ Hawaiian, Shane Victorino.
