Whether you are flying the skies or hitting the road, consider these tips for holiday travel with tech and kids.
Traveling is our favorite. We try to go on as many trips as possible, especially now that my boys are older making traveling with them much easier. One thing that makes traveling easier for us is to travel with tech. Technology is a fantastic tool for keeping kids entertained at the airport and on long flights. Even now, with my boys being ages 10 and 12, we wouldn’t think of traveling without our favorite tech gear in hand.
Holiday Travel with Tech and Kids
Before you plan your next trip make sure you have the latest technology gear from Verizon, here are some of my favorites:
I think tablets are ideal of traveling. You can use tablets to watch your favorite television shows and movies and also for gaming. For older kids like mine I recommend an iPad or Samsung tablet. But for younger kids, my favorite product is the GizmoTablet. This device is awesome because it gives your little traveler access to 300 premium learning apps or watch your favorite programs.
I am a huge fan of wearable tech. In addition to the ease of texting and accessing apps right from my wrist, many airlines have also created apps for the Apple Watch. The apps allows you to store boarding passes and receive real-time updates right from your wrist.
For the younger kids, consider the Gizmo Watch. I love this watch for younger kids because you can get automated alerts and use a GPS locator, which is perfect when traveling to unknown areas with kids.
You cannot travel without headphones. Not only are they a must for streaming, listening to music and even playing your favorite apps, but they also help cancel out background noises. JBL is one of my favorite brands and they make kids headphones. I love these because they are affordable and also have kid-friendly features, like soft-padded headband and ear cushions, without sacrificing on quality.
Connected on the Go:
If you are traveling by car make sure to pack the Verizon Humx Gen 2 This gadget is a travel-lovers must. Not only does it keep track of your car’s health, it can also send emergency services and alert if it detects a crash. It also has a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot that allows passengers to connect up to 10 Wi-Fi-enabled devices at once to stream music, movies and shows.
If you are traveling abroad, a universal charger is an absolute must because International power outlets don’t accept U.S.-style plugs. With an International Lightning Wall Charger Kit you can charge your device from standard U.S. and International power outlets which means your device will stay charged no matter where you are.
Holiday travel with tech and kids doesn’t have to be complicated. Stay calm, cool and collected with your favorite Verizon products. For even more tech advice, be sure to check out these popular posts on smartphones and even more kid-friendly tech products.
