When thinking of “home” what thoughts, actions and smells come to mind? For me it is memories of my childhood. I remember my mother waking up in the wee hours of the morning to prepare a pot of coffee for my father before he headed out for a long, hard day in the factory. Before the sun had the chance to rise the smell of coffee filled the air. Coffee was a constant theme in my household. My mother would gather with my aunts for cups of coffee on the weekends while the kids played and she would make sure coffee was always made after family gathering – especially during the holidays.
Today, my life mimics much of the way my mother incorporated coffee into her everyday. Instead of making a pot of coffee before heading out to the factory I make coffee to start my day before heading to work. I entertain with coffee by offering it to my guests after dinner and I make coffee dates with your favorite gal pals to reconnect and touch base.
Coffee still has the same meaning for home and family, even if the circumstances are a bit different.
Coffee and me go way back – so when choosing coffee, I like to choose a coffee that evokes the comforting feelings of home, like Gold Peak Coffee, even when I am dining out or meeting up for a coffee break. Gold Peak Coffee is the perfect way to start my day or end a meal.
