It’s Tax Day – April 15th. The tax man cometh and his hand is always out. Whether you are bracing to owe Uncle Sam some money or celebrating a great tax return, Tax Day will be a lot more fun with a some Tax Day Cocktails in hand.
I am not a numbers girl. Despite having a day job where I am responsible for millions of grant dollars I am really not that great when it comes to budgeting, balancing my checkbook or handling the finances. I often joke with my husband that numbers make my brain hurt. Now, don’t get my wrong – I can figure out how much 40 percent off is of a sale item in a heartbeat but if I have to do long math, well, you better have five of these tax day cocktails waiting for me because I just might cry.
So, hopefully by the time you are reading this your taxes have been filed and ready to go. However, if you are standing in line at the post office at midnight you might want to grab yourself a Procrastinator. This cocktail tastes great in a to-go cup!
Bummed that you didn’t get a lot of money back or you are prepping to right a huge check, brace yourself. When the IRS gives you lemons, do what I do with lemons and make this cocktail!
What are your deductions? Did you not have enough deductions in 2013? Look at it this way, you have 364 days until you have to file again.
