The Brewer’s Plate: The culinary adventure that always delivers.
Fair Food’s 11th Annual Brewer’s Plate will return to the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, March 8th, 2015. The Brewer’s Plate is a fundraiser benefiting Fair Food, a nonprofit organization in Philadelphia that promotes a local, sustainable and humane food system for the Delaware Valley region. Foodies, bloggers, critics, and beer geeks galore will frolic to the corner of Broad & Spruce to taste the newest creations from some of the region’s outstanding farmers, chefs, artisans, brewers, distillers and winemakers.
The Brewer’s Plate offer attendees the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the local food scene by sampling and directly interacting with vendors and sponsors who focus on bringing their best brews and dishes to the table.
New to The Brewer’s Plate this year is an exciting collaboration between Victory Brewing Company and Michigan’s Brewery Vivant – the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified brewery in the United States. Attendees of the annual Brewer’s Plate will get the exclusive opportunity to sample “Bon Vivant” – a saison-style ale with a medium to light body and intriguing light spice derived from a unique grist of barley, wheat, rye, and Belgian yeast fermentation – a touch from Brewery Vivant’s already outstanding line-up of Belgian and French inspired beers. In addition to sipping on the brand new Bon Vivant, attendees will also have a chance to grab a taste of a few other styles from this Michigan brewery on their first trip to Pennsylvania.
Sunday, March 8th is your only chance to try this brew on the East Coast. After the Brewer’s Plate, Vivant will take their Bon Vivant beer back to Michigan to feature as a centerpiece of further culinary-driven events.
The Bon Vivant partnership from Brewery Vivant and Victory is just one of the many exclusive samplings you will get from the participants at Fair Food’s food and drink extravaganza. From limited release brews, cocktails and ciders to delectable bites from their restaurant partners, Brewer’s Plate once again delivers a one-of-a-kind line-up for you to meet, greet, and eat. Attendees will enjoy a dish composed of the freshest local ingredients and wash it down with the beer that was meant to compliment it just right – the way Brewer’s Plate wins the heart of many each year.
