Brazil is certainly on my travel bucket list. The idea of going there to watch the Olympics would put the trip on a whole new level. But since my Road to Rio won’t be happening this year it looks like I will be watching the Olympics in Rio on TV. Want to know how Watching the Olympics in Rio on TV Just Got Easier?
I was recently invited by Comcast Philadelphia to attend a Phillies game and learn a little bit more about the Rio Experience on X1.
We had a wonderful day at the ballpark which began with a presentation from the team at Comcast about how to get the most out of your viewing experience with the XFinity X1.
The XFinity X1 brings you the ultimate Olympics destination, uniting all of NBCUniversal’s award-winning Olympics coverage – including 1,000 hours of live programming airing across 9 of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable networks. Comcast customers can access Front Row to Rio from the main menu (accessed by pressing the XFinity key) or XFinity On Demand sections of the guide, under “TV” and “Sports.”
With the XFinity X1 system Olympics lovers like me can tag their favorite athletes, teams and nations, providing a “bookmark” for quick and easy access to the content they care about most; stay up-to-date with each of the day’s must see moments, search for favorite events using the XFinity X1 voice controlled remote control or even keep track of Team USA’s medal count.
The Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics will air on Friday, August 5, on NBC. Competition begins two days earlier on Wednesday, August 3, with women’s soccer. The Games will conclude on Sunday, August 21, with the Closing Ceremony on NBC. Learn all about your viewing options by checking out the way NBC Universal will present an unprecendented 6,755 hours of Rio Olympics programming. I know this busy Momma is excited to know she won’t have to worry about missing some of my most favorite events. Are you ready? I can’t wait!
While cheering on Team USA, be sure to whip up my fun, games-inspired snacks for the perfectly themed sweet treat. Go Team USA!
