As if waffles weren’t good enough, Waffatopia has taken the waffle experience to a totally new level. I had my first Waffatopia experience while tasting my way through the 2013 Philadelphia TASTE festival. I enjoyed Waffatopia so much I dubbed them one of my top 10 picks from the festival.
Fouders and Chief Waffatiers, Brian and Andrea Polizzi first experienced this centuries-old European street treat during a trip to Brussels. “Liege waffles are a popular Belgian breakfast item and snack served at roadside carts and shops. Fresh off the hot iron, this doughy indulgence is warm and satisfying whether you’re eating a Liege waffle on the go or served at the table” (source: Waffatopia’s website).
Waffatopia are caramelized waffles made from all natural premium ingredients and pieces of Belgian Pearl Sugar and baked to perfection. The waffles come individually wrapped for optimal freshness. You can either eat the waffle fresh or freeze and enjoy at a later time. To enjoy you simply remove the waffle from its package and warm in a toaster oven (recommended method) or microwave until warm.
Infused with a variety of flavors, the waffles do not require syrups making them a convenient, mess-free breakfast or treat. Flavors include Banana & Nutella, Chocolate Stuffed, Cinnamon & Vanilla, Maple Bacon and its newest flavor, Orange Pom. In the GGG house the Chocolate Stuffed and Maple Bacon were by far our most favorite.
As a busy mom of two, I can tell you there are times when breakfast is definitely an on-the-go kind of thing. I hate sacrificing on flavor and nutrition even when pressed for time. Waffatopia serves as an ideal breakfast partner or any-time treat.
Waffatopia Caramelized Waffles can be purchased from many different retail locations in the Philadelphia-area or ordered on-line and shipped direct to you. They make for a great birthday treat, care package for a college student or unique corporate gift.
GGG is definitely proud to be a Waffatopian! Waffatopia gets two thumbs up from the GGG crew.
