Soy Vay Sauces and Marinades Review and Recipes

On New Year’s Eve I wanted some finger foods for my family to munch on throughout the night.  One of the snacks I made was the Soy Vay Snack Mix from their recipe index.


5 cups rice cereal squares
2 cups plain goldfish crackers
2 cups sesame sticks
1/3 cup Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki or Soy Vay Island Teriyaki
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup butter or margarine melted

Combine cereal, crackers, sesame sticks, and peanuts in a large bowl. Combine butter and Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki or Soy Vay Island Teriyaki; stir to combine and pour over snack mixture. Toss well to coat and transfer to two cookie sheets. Bake at 250Ì F for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer to paper towels to cool. Makes 10 cups.

Believe it or not, my family ate the Snack Mix before I remembered to snap a picture of it – yikes!

After seeing how easy it was to make the Snack Mix I decided to give another one of their recipes a try.  I made the Saucy Asian Meatballs.


1 lb. lean ground beef

2 green onions, chopped
1 egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki or Soy Vay Hoisin Garlic Asian Glaze and Marinade
1/4 cup each: Soy Vay Hoisin Garlic Asian Glaze and Marinade, pineapple juice, & tomato juice
2 tablespoons dry sherry or apple juice
1/8 teaspoon each: garlic powder & powdered ginger

In a medium bowl combine ground beef, onions, egg, bread crumbs, and 2 tablespoons Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki or Soy Vay Hoisin Garlic Asian Glaze and Marinade. Mix well and form into balls. Cook in large skillet until browned on all sides and cooked through. Drain excess fat and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer 5 minutes then pour over hot meatballs. Stir well. Serve over white rice. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

This time I remembered to snap a picture.  They tasted as good as they looked. Even my sometimes picky 4-year old gobbled them up and even asked for “leftovers” the next day. 


Since the sauces and marinades were such a big hit I decided to give an original recipe a try – Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Soup.


Even I was blown away by how good it came out.  The Soy Vay sauces and marinades are a great ingredient to work with; they are made with all natural ingredients and are free of stabilizers, gums or artificial ingredients.  So tasty!

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Soup

  1. 1 large white onion, chopped
  2. 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  3. 1 garlic clove, chopped finely
  4. 1 tsp of kosher salt
  5. 2 TBS of olive oil
  6. 2 large chicken breasts, cut into small chunks
  7. 4 cups of chicken stock
  8. 2 cups of water, plus more if needed
  9. 3/4 cup of Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki
  10. 1 cup of uncooked white rice
  11. 1 TBS of sriracha sauce (optional)
  12. scallions for garnish
  1. Begin by drizzling large soup pot with olive oil, add chopped onions, bell pepper and garlic clove. Sprinkle with kosher salt and cook until onions are translucent.
  2. Next, add chicken breast and cook chicken over medium heat for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Next add chicken stock, water and Soy Vay Veri Veri Teriyaki.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium and add rice.
  6. Cook for 45 minutes to an hour until rice is soft and chicken is cooked thoroughly, stirring frequently.
  7. If soup mixtures becomes too thick, add additional water.
  8. At the final stage, add sriracha (optional) to make it spicy.
  9. Serve into a bowl, drizzle with additional sriracha for presentation and to kick up the spice (optional) and garnish with chopped scallions.

    these recipes you stole from the original soy vay website. I was jut there and looked at these recipes and now you try to pass them off as your own. yeah right!

    I will be using the recipes from there website because there is nothing!!! original about yours

      Thank you for your reply but your comment is not accurate. I was contacted by Soy Vay for a review of their product. I did link back to their site regarding the two recipes that I tried from their site as part of the product review (and I also noted that these are Soy Vay recipes). The soup recipe is my own and is completely original. I don’t “steal” my content and Soy Vay was pleased with this post. Thanks for taking the time to leave your (inaccurate) comment.
