So what’s your poison this Valentine’s Day? Sure you could go with the obvious – champagne, wine or even beer but isn’t that a little boring? This Valentine’s Day, I am professing my love of Rumchata with this Rumchata Raspberry Cream Cocktail.
In my circle Rumchata is the hot liquor of the moment. I regularly whip up Rumchata martinis, Rumchata on ice and Rumchata Hot Chocolate.Â
This year we are having Valentines Day at home. Instead of forcing ourselves to go out, we will enjoy a beautiful dinner in the comfort of our home with a few cocktails.Â
Rumchata Raspberry Cream Cocktail
For this cocktail Rumchata is mixed with some muddled raspberries, light cream and raspberry vodka. The result is a beautiful, delicious tasting cocktail that screams romance. The muddled raspberries flavor the cocktail with that fresh fruit taste and create a romantic, heart-themed cocktail as the raspberry pieces float to the top like floating hearts.To garnish, you can thread several raspberries through a red cocktail stirrer and place on top of the glass.
Rumchata Raspberry Cream Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of fresh raspberries
- 3 ounces of light cream
- 2 ounces of Rumchata
- 1 ounce of Raspberry Vodka
- Fresh raspberries for garnish
Instructions
- Place fresh raspberries in the bottom of a cocktail glass and muddle. In a cocktail shaker, add the light cream, Rumchata, and raspberry vodka over ice and shake. Add ice to cocktail glass on top of raspberries and strain liquor mixture over muddled raspberries. Garnish with fresh raspberries and serve.
