Welcome to GGG’s Top Recipes of 2015
Are you excited for 2016? I certainly am. After being in a bit of a blog funk in 2015, I am ready to tackle the new year with better recipes, better content, better photos and more exciting things. Before we tackle 2016, I thought I would share some of GGG’s Top Recipes of 2015.
I absolutely love New Year’s. I love the idea of bidding farewell to the past year and the fresh start each new year offers. So, in true New Year’s Eve fashion I present to you GGG’s Top 10 Recipes of 2015. We’ve had some definite winners on the blog this year, and several big opportunities that have made GGG stand out.
In January, I posted this delicious Naughty Girl Scout Shot to kick off Girl Scout cookie season and it proved to be a definite winner.
Another popular post for 2015 just happens to be one of my most favorite recipes ever, my “famous” Chunky Bacon Salsa recipe. This post was featured everywhere and went crazy on Pinterest. I was especially proud of this post because it was a sponsored post which makes me happy that I produced a great recipe for a great brand. This recipe was also featured on The Daily Meal. BONUS!
As the weather warmed up, I took my cooking outdoors to my favorite place to cook, my grill. I created these Mexican Fajita Kabobs on a whim and had one of the most successful posts for the Summer. It seems everyone was in the kabob mood this Summer and I am guessing this recipe was the star of many Summer dinners from the amount of web traffic this post generated.
Kid-friendly foods would prove to be a theme for 2015 with this recipe for, Kid-Friendly American Goulash, popping up as a popular one in 2015.
My friend Carly will be pleased to know that her favorite Banana Rumchata Colada was one of the top posts of 2015. Even now, right smack in the winter months, this recipe gets pinned daily on Pinterest. I guess people are dreaming of warmer weather and frozen drinks.
It seems 2015 was the year of the cocktails on GGG as many of my most popular posts from 2015 were cocktails. Another cocktail favorite was this Jersey Shore Rum Punch, which I created while spending time at my beloved Jersey Shore. This recipe was also featured in a Summer Splash in a Glass parade.
In October, I launched a new series with several blogger friends of mine where we cook with our kids. We call it Mini Chef Mondays. It seems this series proved to be a very popular addition to GGG and these Bear Claw Cookies were a reader favorite.
I work with BJ’s Wholesale Club a lot and one of my recipes, my Individual Baked Tortilla Apple Pie recipe was a favorite of theirs and also did very well for the blog. I’m always amazed when later additions to the blog pop up as top posts for the year. Sometimes you just can’t predict what the readers will respond to and it looks like easy, mini desserts are very popular.
Lastly, the crown jewel of 2015 was another Mini Chef Mondays posts, my Grinch Green Hot Chocolate. Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and this recipe hit the internet at the perfect time. It took off and made this mama and her little mini chefs very, very proud.
So there you have it, GGG’s Top 10 Recipes of 2015.
Thank your or making 2015 so fun! Cheers!
