This post is in collaboration with GoRving and Kampgrounds of America. I was provided with an RV and a Deluxe Cabin at Kampgrounds of America Niagara Falls Grand Island to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

I had the opportunity to experience something totally outside of my comfort zone thanks to a road trip with GoRving to the Niagara Falls with our traveling partners Tina and her family from Life Without Pink. This is our sixth trip with Tina and her family and a totally new adventure for all of us.

For our 2017 Summer Road Trip we decided to we wanted to visit the Niagara Falls area. I visited Niagara Falls as a kid and wanted my children to experience it too. Niagara Falls is about an 8-hour drive from where we live. We thought it was the perfect choice for our road trip; giving us a chance to marvel at nature’s beauty while enjoying some fun times with our friends on the road.

How We Got to Niagara Falls

About the 2017 Minnie Winnie 31k Winnebago RV

GoRving gave us the 2017 Minnie Winnie 31k Winnebago RV for our trip which was spacious enough for four adults and four children to travel in.

The 2017 Minnie Winnie 31k featured:

  • large slide out
  • rear master bedroom
  • sofa/bed and u-shaped dinette both with seat belts for safe traveling
  • overhead cabinets above the sofa/bed
  •  57″ x 95″ bunk that the kids enjoyed above the cab seats
  • counter area
  • double sink
  • three burner range
  • pantry
  • refrigerator
  • sliding door led to the rear bedroom
  • bath that featured a shower on the left and a private toilet area and vanity with sink on the right
  • bedroom nightstand with shirt closet above on one side and a wardrobe opposite

We easily fit enough food, clothing, beverages and activities for all of us with plenty of room to spare. The  2017 Minnie Winnie 31k Winnebago RV was certainly a spacious and comfortable ride.

Deluxe Cabin at Kampgrounds of America Niagara Falls Grand Island

While Tina and her family slept in the RV we slept in the Deluxe Cabin at Kampgrounds of America Niagara Falls Grand Island. The Deluxe Cabin at Kampgrounds of America Niagara Falls Grand Island featured a master bedroom, a bedroom with two bunk beds and a pull-out sofa, small kitchenette, table with sitting area and a bathroom. It was a great space and both families were able to enjoy both the RV and the cabin since the Minnie Winnie’s parking spot was close to the cabin. You can check out the space for yourself in the video below.

We spent an equal number of days exploring the Niagara Falls area (both U.S. and Canadian side), while also enjoying time at the RV and the campground. The kids were able to swim, ride banana bikes, fish, enjoy ice cream at the ice cream social, play outdoor games like basketball, tether ball, washers and bean bag toss and even have a pancake breakfast at the campground. It was non-stop fun the entire time we were there.

Stay tuned, there’s more to come!

This trip was too big and too exciting for just one post. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing even more updates on our trip to Niagara Falls including a list of recommended activities and sites to see, where to eat and so much more. Special thanks to GoRving and Kampgrounds of America for partnering with us on this epic road trip adventure. We can’t wait for next year!

  1. Such a fun trip! RVing is great for families. The best vaca I had growing up was RVing through Canada with my family!
