Have I mentioned how much I love Cinco de Mayo? Tequila Cocktails are a must to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and nothing says fiesta more than tequila and a Corona. So, to help you celebrate Cinco de Mayo I am sharing a unique drink to kick off the festivities, the Cucumber Chelada, a cucumber beer cocktail.
The Cucumber Chelada is a cucumber beer cocktail that is similar to a spicy Cucumber Margarita with many of the same ingredients. It does, however, have a different taste than the cucumber margarita thanks to the addition of beer making this an easy-to-prepare cucumber beer cocktail.
To prepare this cucumber beer cocktail, The Cucumber Chelada, I assembled my ingredients, a drink shaker and a tall Collins glass and began mixing. For this recipe you will need Casa Noble Reposado, lime-‐juice, simple syrup, sliced cucumbers and Corona Extra (I used Corona Light because I prefer the flavor of Corona Light).
In a short shaker tin, add lime, cucumber, and simple syrup. Add Casa Noble Reposado Tequila and shake vigorously for 10 seconds. Fine strain into a Collins glass and top with Corona Extra. Garnish with a lime and a cucumber slice for the perfect finish.
Casa Noble Tequila is well-regarded both within the industry and amongst tequila enthusiasts. It was the second tequila brand to receive organic certification: No chemicals are used in the cultivation of its blue agave or in its distilling process. An on-site treatment plant allows the distillery to transform waste liquids and solids into useful compost or ph balanced liquid that won’t ruin the soil. The Casa Noble family of Single Estate Organic tequilas — Crystal, Reposado, and Anejo — has a rich history that has earned them a position as one of the finest ultra premium spirits portfolios in the world.
Corona is a natural partner for this Cucumber Beer Cocktail and the best way to celebrate “Corona de Mayo.” In fact, Casa Noble Tequila and Corona have partnered up to help kick off Cinco de Mayo festivities, check out their latest commercial.
