apple crescents

It’s another week of celebrating Fall today on Mini Chef Mondays and we are welcoming the cooler weather with these easy to make Apple Crescents.

We are big fans of apple picking in the Fall but aren’t big on things like apple pie. I’m not the best baker and an apple pie is sometimes a little too much for me to tackle. But these Apple Crescents taste just like apple pie but are so simple to prepare are literally done in about 15 minutes.

To begin I had the boys sprinkle a brown sugar-cinnamon-nutmeg mixture onto prepared crescent rolls (the tube kind).

We then placed one apple slice at the top of the crescent and rolled towards the point.

Once the crescents were tightly rolled we brushed them with coconut oil before placing in a 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes.

Before we knew it, the house smelled like fresh apple pie and these beautiful bronzed beauties were ready to be enjoyed.

  1. Can you use egg white instead of coconut oil on this crescent top? I know a little girl from my congregation who is very allergic to coconut.

  2. Can you use egg white instead of coconut milk to brush on rolls? Little girl I know is seriously allergic to coconut.
