Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce

Thanksgiving is just about two weeks away. Have you thought about making your own cranberry sauce? I love this homemade Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce. I’ve been making it for several years now and there is no way I am going back to the canned variety.  Homemade cranberry sauce is rather simple to make and provides such a fresh and flavorful addition to your Thanksgiving holiday table it’s just too good to override with the canned variety.

I decided to go with a Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce version of homemade cranberry sauce is because cranberries can be tart. The apricots and raisins add a nice depth of sweetness to the dish without the need to overuse sugar.

This Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce makes a pretty decent batch of cranberry sauce. I was able to fill a large mason jar about 3/4 of the way full. The batch made it through the entire Thanksgiving dinner with plenty leftover.

Truth be told, I am not much of a baker. But I do occasionally whip up successful baked dishes that are just wow! One of my favorite baked items to enjoy is shortbread. I took the leftover Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce and made a batch of my favorite Cranberry Coconut Shortbread Bars with whatever was leftover. They were seriously so delicious – like coffee-shop quality and I loved them. The perfect use for leftover homemade cranberry sauce.

Don’t fall victim to canned cranberry sauce. Make a point of making homemade cranberry sauce this year.  This super simple Cranberry Apricot Raisin Sauce recipe will wow your Thanksgiving dinner guests and complete your menu with ease.

I hope you enjoy today’s recipe post!
