In just a few days South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week will start at Cherry Hill Mall, Morristown Mall and Voorhees Town Center. PREIT South Jersey Restaurant Week will run from July 13th to July 20th. During the week-long promotion, guests will be offered special menus and/or pricing from an array of destination restaurants at all three of PREIT’s southern New Jersey shopping centers (Cherry Hill Mall, Moorestown Mall and Voorhees Town Center).

Participating restaurants are as follows (by mall location):

Cherry Hill Mall: Bahama Breeze; Bistro at Cherry Hill; Bobby’s Burger Palace; California Pizza Kitchen; Grand Lux Cafe; Maggiano’s Little Italy; Nordstrom’s Marketplace Cafe; Seasons 52 and The Capital Grille.

At the Capital Grille Executive Chef Joey Medellin demonstrated a flavorful scallop, corn and risotto entree which I had a chance to try. The dish was absolutely delicious with rich corn flavor. Chef Medellin shared that the dish was made with fresh corn stock which I absolutely loved and will be copying in my kitchen soon. Following other tasty nibbles, including the famous Capital Grilled Burger, I tried one of their fresh desserts, a classic cheesecake with fresh berries.

Moorestown Mall: Corner Bakery Cafe, Distrito – by Jose Garces, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and Austria – by Marc Vetri.

I visited Firebirds Wood Fired Grill and tried their grilled vegetable kabobs as well as their pineapple infused cocktail, the Double Black Diamond cocktail which uses fresh pineapple soaked in vodka for 21 days. They were amazing!

Voorhees Town Center: Burger 21; Catelli Duo; Elena Wu Restaurant & Sushi Bar; Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant and Rodizio Grill, the Brazilian Steakhouse.

Rodizio Grill, the Brazilian Steakhouse was by far my favorite of the PREIT South Jersey Restaurant Week locations. Here we sampled traditional Brazilian steakhouse fare of sirloin, sweet and sour chicken and grilled, glazed pineapples as well as their signature coconut slaw, Brazilian cheese breads and their limeade (a must try). I can’t wait to go back to Rodizio with my husband and also try their huge salad bar.

PREIT was the first mall developer in the Philadelphia/South Jersey region to introduce the concept of a Mall Restaurant Week and debuted the event last year at Cherry Hill Mall. This year PREIT launched the first-ever PREIT South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week by expanding the event to include two additional locations, Moorestown Mall and Voorhees Town Center.

To create an even better South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week experience PREIT partnered with Uber, which will sponsor the week-long event. Diners can take advantage of uberX as a safe, affordable and reliable service for both shoppers and diners. My friend Jill and I used uberX as our means of transportation to attend a South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week preview and found it to be a pleasant and enjoyable ride.

To take full advantage of South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week guests are encouraged to make reservations at their favorite restaurant. Visit www.preitsjrestaurantweek.com for menu and offer details.

Enjoy!

GGG was offered a South Jersey Mall Restaurant Week preview during a media event as well as a complimentary uberX ride. Opinions are always my own.

  1. A friend and I went to one of the spots at the Voorhees Town Center and the gal at the front desk had no idea it was Restaurant Week. The manager finally figured it out and we were brought the menu. The food where we went was great and so was the staff and it was a nice way to try it out and go somewhere we wouldn’t have otherwise gone on a Monday night.

  2. Will have to convince my husband to go out next week! I’m thinking Seasons 52 or Iron Hill, but I know he will say Rodizio sounds amazing!
